2025 Sam Houston Boat Tour
Thursday, October 30, 2025 (11:30 AM - 1:45 PM) (CDT)
Description
As the beloved M/V Sam Houston nears its 67th birthday and approaches retirement in 2026, here’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience her magic in a whole new way. BayTran is offering an exclusive, special tour — launching from the San Jacinto Monument — that travels a route different from the standard public tours. You’ll still soak in the grandeur of the Houston Ship Channel and the rich maritime heritage that the Sam Houston has symbolized for more than six decades, but you’ll be among a smaller, select group exploring rare vantage points and stories that don’t make the usual itinerary.
Space is limited, so don’t miss your opportunity to reserve a spot on this unique farewell voyage.
This tour will depart from the San Jacinto Monument, 3523 Independence Pkwy S, La Porte, TX 77571
The M/V Sam Houston will retire in 2026, but the memories she’s made will never leave this port. Tell us your favorite memory, big or small, and help us celebrate the community she’s carried for nearly seven decades. Submit your stories to communityrelations@porthouston.com.
